Our Response to Covid-19 Issues
The McGeorge community appreciates your continued interest in our law school. We know that there is a great deal of uncertainty around the world at this time, but we want to assure you that our commitment to making the law school admissions process a positive experience has not changed. The JD admissions team will continue to be available to provide guidance and assistance in a variety of ways.
We have had to make a few adjustments. The well-being of our entire McGeorge community is a priority and so is yours. In response to Covid-19 issues, and in an attempt to mitigate the spread of the virus, we will be unable to accommodate drop-in visits or class visits. The University of the Pacific, including McGeorge School of Law, is transitioning to a remote instruction model beginning Monday, March 23, 2020. While there will be no in-person classes to visit, we will be making video clips of select first year classes available to individuals interested in viewing our in-class experience.
In addition, we will continue to provide campus tours by appointment only. As a reminder, with all courses being taught online, your tour will likely be conducted by a JD admissions staff member. We are happy to show you around campus, but please note that we will be observing social distancing protocol when hosting campus visitors. All campus visitors must submit a visitor form at least two days prior to their arrival. A virtual tour is also available.
Counseling is still available by appointment. However, we encourage you to make arrangements for an online or telephone appointment. For further information and to schedule call 916.739.7105 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The first thing to do when you arrive on campus is stop by the Admissions Office in the Administration Building on Fifth Avenue. Our Admissions Office staff is available from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday during the regular semesters. In the summer, we are available 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Friday. We will also provide you with a campus map, a class schedule, and an admissions information packet. Take note of information about guided tours below.
Guided tours can be easily arranged. Please call our office at least one day in advance so that we can make sure someone will be available. We can also arrange a visit to a first-year class.
Although most classrooms and administrative offices are closed for the weekend, you are welcome to view McGeorge's beautiful 13-acre campus on your own. Be sure to stop by the Law Library, which is open on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to midnight.
