Professor Michael Rhoads has taught as an adjunct at McGeorge School of Law since 2015. His course, California Parole Hearings & Litigation, provides students interested in criminal law with a background on the law, policies, and procedures related to California’s parole system. Students discuss the development of California’s sentencing laws, learn about the cases and regulations governing parole consideration, review parole hearing transcripts, and hear from various guest speakers.

Professor Rhoads works as a Chambers Attorney for Chief Justice Cantil-Sakauye at the California Supreme Court, and previously worked on the California Supreme Court's Central Staff. He served as a Deputy Legal Affairs Secretary to Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr., and worked at the California Attorney General's Office and the San Diego District Attorney's Office. He previously taught as an adjunct professor at U.C. Hastings College of Law.
